Myofascial Energetic Release, usually called MER, is a bodywork approach combining slow manual touch with awareness, breathing and sometimes movement. The practitioner works with muscles and connective tissue while you notice how your body feels.
At Dr Feelgood Team we start by discussing what brings you here, your health and your boundaries. Together we agree on pressure, touch and the areas to work with. During the session you can ask for a pause, change position or say no. The pace follows your response and the body’s feedback.
Many people describe less perceived tension, greater relaxation, freer movement or increased body awareness after bodywork. Research on myofascial release reports promising results for pain and function, particularly in chronic low back pain. MER brings manual work together with breathing, movement and presence in an individual whole.
